PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Medicaid Research Team seeks a Senior Manager to focus on two key objectives of the
department:
• Skillful management of the Medicaid Research teams, and relationships in its locations in
Pune and Hyderabad.
• Maintenance and growth of Cotiviti’s medical policy payment library as the most
accurate, comprehensive, defensible, and up-to-date payment policy content in the
industry
Senior Manager, Research is responsible for providing oversight over day to day operational
activities and focusing on building/improving capabilities aligned with the departmental growth
agenda. Given the current and expected growth in Research, we expect the individual in this role
to be hands on and dedicated to developing and strengthening the operational capabilities of
the team. Coupled with subject matter heavy nature of Research, the day to day management
of teams to drive the Research projects is key to this position. Experience with design,
implementation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative Research department activities with
experience hiring, training, and managing research staff is key to this position.
This position works closely with both members of the research team and key constituents from
other departments across geographies to ensure the projects are implemented in time,
accordance with the policies and procedures and produce their expected deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities

• Reduce the overall rate of production errors by effective process analysis and feedback
incorporation.

o Leads team of Research Analysts (physicians and medical coders) in India and

o Report on progress to plan regularly
Support Research teams in developing, maintaining medical policy payment library across its
value chain of activities to deliver timely, high-quality output.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Medical degree (MBBS or MD preferred; BAMS or BHMS)
• MBA or equivalent Masters from a reputed college preferred
• 10+ yrs. of Corporate experience with preference for roles involving line management
and interaction with business leaders across the organization
• 5+ yrs. of US healthcare experience with focus on reimbursement and medical coding
(CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, ICD-10) preferred
• Clearance of personality and skills assessment test that evaluates analytical, quantitative,
critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
• Clearance of English assessment test for both written and verbal skills (if required)
• Experience in using tools and techniques for effective implementation of business
process transition for a minimal impact on the existing production and quality.
• Experience in a detailed process review and documentation.

JOB DEMANDS
• Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Work from Cotiviti offices majority of time but an occasional travel to the US and within
India may be required.
• Must be willing to work US business hours on an as needed basis
• Must be willing to work in after hours and/or weekend work required where necessary for
major deliverables/deadlines.

• Handling a large team with relatively flat reporting structure (situation based)

Research Analysts), Medical Policy and Client Services

Project Coordinator

Will manage and ensure the timely delivery of projects.

  • Provide effective coordination with all the agencies like the architect, interior designer, services consultants, construction team, landscape architect and vendors.
  • In addition to this he will contribute to reporting activities, financial management, vendor identification and selection, communication with vendors and suppliers and coordination of all project planning meetings.
  • As the single point of contact for Project Services, he will showcase your excellent communication and relationship building skills and provide advice on related issues.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction documents and building specifications is essential, as is knowledge of contract law, construction industry practices and regulations, and applicable codes and legislation.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and prior work in similar field would be an asset. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is assumed.
  • Should hold a degree or diploma in Design, Construction, Building Sciences or a related field and have 3+ years of experience in construction project management.

  • Must have worked on at least two projects from tendering stage to completion in regards to MEP.
